Claw foot Tub?
I purchased a house with a claw foot bath tub. It is from the 1920's standard 5' size. I absolutly fell in love with it when purchasing the house, but my bath room is so small and I use it as a shower so I need to replace it with a normal tub because it is just annoying. I doubt its worth a ton or anything, but I figure I shuold at least sell it to recover some cost of replacing it. How do I go about doing this?
What I should have asked is how do I find out what it is worth, and how to find people who like that sort of thing?
If you know the specific brand and model of the tub you can probably get a good estimate by doing a search online. You could try to sell it yourself or you may want to see if you can place it on consignment with an antique dealer in your area. They would take a portion of the sales price but may have a better market for the item and you wouldn't have to deal with a bunch of strangers coming by to see it at your home.
