How to install a vent for a portable Air Conditioner on an odd window.?
I live on rental place and recently bugth a Portable AC my windows are the ones that open and close like a door tall and narrow, I need to find a way to install the exhaust vent without cutting the window or bord it with wood and nails (landlord does not allow this) Have any ideas how to do it? There are glass panels on the windows but I don't know how to take them off without breaking them.
I did the exact thing you are talking about. The window is opened enough to fit the A/C unit sitting on the bottom ledge. I used a piece of plywood above it that fits perfectly into the track.
It is a very tight fit and the only screws I used are holding the plywood in place above the A/C unit.
I sealed the whole thing with masking tape. I love a cold bedroom and I achieve this with the window unit.
